Inner Flare
Privacy Policy
Who we are
Inner Flare is developed and maintained by Automated Bytes Incorporated, the same team behind Health Flare. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Automated Bytes Incorporated as the developer of Inner Flare.
What data Inner Flare stores
Inner Flare stores the following data locally on your device only, in an encrypted database:
- Cycle data you log: period dates, flow intensity, ovulation test results, symptoms, and notes
- App preferences and settings, including which dashboard cards are shown and how they're arranged
This data is encrypted at rest and unlocked using your device's own biometrics where supported. It is not accessible to other apps, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it (see Backups below).
What data Inner Flare does NOT collect
- We do not collect any personal information
- We do not collect any health, cycle, or fertility data: it stays on your device
- We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools
- We do not use advertising networks or tracking tools
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- We do not have any servers that receive data from the app
- We do not require an account or login of any kind
- The app has no internet permission, so it has no technical means of sending data anywhere, even if it wanted to
Backups
Inner Flare includes an optional export feature that lets you back up a copy of your data as a file. This export happens only when you explicitly request it, and the resulting file goes only where you choose to send it, for example, saving it to your Files app, sending it to yourself via AirDrop, or moving it to another device of your own.
We never receive, process, or have access to any backup file you create.
Open source
Inner Flare's source code is public. Every claim in this policy (including that the app requests no network permissions) can be verified directly in the code at github.com/Health-Flare/InnerFlare.
Children's privacy
Inner Flare does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it presents no special risk to children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because the app collects no data, any changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in any meaningful way.
